全球前 2%顶尖科学家榜单是由斯坦福大学 John P. A. Ioannidis 教授团队与 Elsevier 旗下 Mendeley Data 发布的一个科研人员「内卷」清单。

榜单以 Scopus 数据库为依据，基于引用次数、H 因子、HM 因子等指标，按照生涯影响力和年度影响力从近 700 万名科学家中选出世界排名前 2%的科学家，共有 22 个领域和 176 个细分子领域。

趁着高考的热度（并不能蹭上），如果你在考虑读研或者读博选导师，或许这个榜单可能会有一些帮助和参考。

如果你把科研作为自己读博的目标，找到一个领域内优秀的导师非常重要，如果你只是为了要一个不错的学历，或许更重要的是考虑去一个名气更大的学校。

关于这个榜单，直接放一点原文解释：

Citation metrics are widely used and misused. We have created a publicly available database of 100,000 top-scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. Separate data are shown for career-long and single year impact. Metrics with and without self-citations and ratio of citations to citing papers are given. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. Field- and subfield-specific percentiles are also provided for all scientists who have published at least 5 papers. Career-long data are updated to end-of-2019.
